Our Story

The idea for Cherrie Couture was born out of a desire to help women, of all shapes and sizes, simplify the process of finding a dress for any special occasion. We want to save our clients time, money and effort, which is why it is possible to shop for any one of our beautiful dresses quickly and easily in-store or online.

Cherrie Couture created by Mariam Desai and assisted by her daughter Faranaaz Desai, both
passionate about ensuring that women of all dress sizes look fabulous for that special occasion. Our dresses are elegant and modest, yet simple and versatile. Our cocktail, evening, summer, occasion, and even plus size dresses are available in a range of styles and colours to suit any personal taste or body
type. We also have our own dedicated team of seamstresses and cutters at hand to ensure the timely manufacturing of our dresses. We have now started to venture into imported fashion and accessories on our online shop to bring you even more of the latest, trending and affordable clothing.

Beautiful designs, off the shelf convenience and affordable prices are main benefits that clients can expect when searching for occasion wear such as formal dresses, evening dresses, matric ball dresses, cocktail dresses, eid dresses or summer dresses at Cherrie Couture. Available in a wide range of sizes and designs, everyone is bound to find something in our store that they absolutely adore. Most of our dresses caters for maxi or plus size.

For clients living in or near Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs, you are welcome to pop in at our store at 8 Teremain road, Ferness Estate, Cape Town, South Africa. We stock a selection of our dresses in store, so clients are welcome to come and fit our designs.
